A lovely but very cold second week of Advent. I visited Hovingham in the Howardian Hills on the way to the National Trust Property of Nunnington Hall.
Hovingham is situated within the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Ryedale District of North Yorkshire, approximately 19 miles north of the city of York and midway between the market towns of Helmsley and Malton.
I decided to stop to take a few pictures as I’d never had a walk round before. A beautiful village but a bitterly cold day.

Ii love to hear anything about North Yorkshire and to view photos of its beautiful scenery. Spent my childhood and youth there in the Cleveland Hills but rarely manage to get back there now.
