Hi, I don’t normally do this but I wonder if you could spare any spare change to help this poor cat, such a sad story but hopefully with a happy ending.
Hi, my name is David and I’m hoping to raise money towards the cost of an operation for Limpy the cat. He is called Limpy because he appeared one day in my mum’s garden with a severe limp due to a broken leg. He was also extremely thin but because he was so timid and scared, as soon as anyone went out to him he disappeared for several days at a time. Instead food was left out for him to eat while no one was around. After several months he was brave enough to eat the food with someone in the garden and after many more weeks of patiently building up his trust he let us stroke him.
Fast forward to today and as you can see from the photo Limpy has finally moved into the house and is a much-loved member of the family. Unfortunately it’s far too late to do anything about the limp from his broken leg, but he has a cyst on his eye that makes it difficult for him to properly close, causes him discomfort and obscures his vision. Thankfully this can be treated.
The estimate Limpy’s vet gave for the operation to remove the cyst is £580 to £862 but I am seeking only to cover the minimum amount of £580. If the goal is reached before I end the fundraiser (which would be amazing!) any extra will go towards any aftercare Limpy might need. If he doesn’t need any then I will donate the money to a local cat charity.
Limpy and I thank you for reading this and thank you in advance for any donation you give. I will update on how the operation goes and if possible provide a photo. Thank you!

I thought I would show you a little time lapse of my sunflower slowly bending towards the sun from last year. This took over an hour for them to slowly turn to face the sun condensed into 20 seconds!
Let me know if you would like to see more nature videos or any of the places that I visited and photograph.
It’s been a glorious week. Getting back into the garden is a great feeling especially when the temperature has hit 18oWith the lovely weather has brought out…
Today is EARTH DAY 2022 – APRIL 22 Each year, Earth Day focuses on and celebrates our planet, promoting multiple ways we can help our environment. From climate change to overpopulation, it’s a time to reflect on what humanity is doing to its home. This year the theme for this year’s Earth Day is Invest In Our Planet.
…we need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably)
… everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable

I help the environment by re-cycling reducing my waste and trying to reusing a lot of things. I grow my own fruit and veg as much as I can (unless the slugs and snails eat them!) I have spent the past two weeks in my garden encourage flowers and wildlife into my space.
I try to recycle as much of my waste, I also buy clothes from charity shops (and donate). Also, when taking photographs I always leave the places that I visit, exactly as I find them and take nothing away (apart from pictures!)
INVEST IN OUR PLANET
This is the moment to change it all — the business climate, the political climate, and how we take action on climate. Now is the time for the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, and our livelihoods.
For Earth Day 2022, we need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably). It’s going to take all of us. All in. Businesses, governments, and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. A partnership for the planet. Find out more with quizzes or ideas to help with your carbon footprint etc.
We are nearer to Spring than we were in September.
I heard a bird sing in the dark of December.”

Mild December Days
It has been a mild weekend. A chance for me to get out into the garden and clean the bird bath and top up their drinking water.
Over the weekend I receive the first few Christmas cards throughout my letterbox. They all showed snowy wintery scenes, pictures of fat robins or carol singers in the snow.
We don’t seems to get any carol singers anymore. Not like I used to when I was younger, I even went carol singing myself.
We also don’t get White Christmas’s any more either. Not in Yorkshire anyway! I would love some of the white stuff on the 25th, only if I could justify sitting in the house all day with the fire on!
Another frosty morning today! Rain is forecast for later on so any outside work needs to be done soon.
My order from Thompson & Morgan’s seeds came today. Lots of packets of little seeds of colour and happiness. I can’t wait to get back into my greenhouse to start planting.
Oh my goodness sorry for not posting for a while! I don’t know where time is going! It’s lovely to see that Snoring is on its way with flowers appearing. Even though parts of the UK has add snow!

A bit of gardening & tidying up after Storm Arwen and the snow/frost that we had a few days ago.
My lovely Cosmos has had to be pulled up, until next year when I’ll plant some more. I’ve also ordered some lovely golden yellow ones for next year as well.
The birds are loving the berries in the garden, I keep seeing them eating all the left over grapes as well!
Today a bit of gardening. The cats are having a ball chasing leaves and exploring all the ‘new’ parts of the garden since I’ve cut back lots of plants!
A visit to the ever popular Living North exhibition had be drinking samples of rum, cocktails and wine at 11 o’clock in the morning! (Plus plenty of chocolate and biscuits).
The trees are looking stunning, All we needs is a huge gust of wind or a sharp front and most of the leaves will be on the floor.
More adventures tomorrow, a Textile exhibition and a Christmas Craft fair.
