Another play at Droste this evening, this time it’s the beautiful Wood Sorrell from the fields near me. It was when it was ice cold with thick fog that never cleared all day.
The Droste effect describes a specific type of recursive picture in which a smaller version of the larger image is featured within the larger image. Another term for this surreal photography effect is mise en abyme, which refers to the practice of inserting a replica of an image within itself. This creates a repetition that could continue forever, as the smaller version of the picture would contain an even smaller replica and so on.

My seeded paper cards means that the recipient can plant the card and watch flowers grow in their place. The handmade paper as of September 200 is packed full of bee friendly flower seeds (a mix of 4 varieties). Which are made from 100% Cotton. Biodegradable. Sustainable.
These cards are sold with a kraft (brown envelope).
I also sell C5 size cards which are on white card with a white envelope. The Cyanotype cards are inspired from my own original Cyanotypes and are hand painted with metallic paint. The Christmas Cyanotype cards are made using original Cyanotypes and are my biggest seller! They come in packs of 3 and each design is different, (they are also hand decorated with metallic paint).

I managed to get out for a short walk on Sunday. The weather was very windy and wet but I needed to get a bit of fresh air as I was fed up of watching TV and reels on Instagram! I didn’t get very far as my arm was aching and I still can’t have anything like heavy coats and jumpers pressing down on my shoulder for too long. It was good to see how things had changed in over a week of me being inside.
My October window showcase at No3 is now on show (thanks to my parents) and I’m pleased at how well it looks. If you are in York take an amble over to Heworth for a look and a lovely cup of tea & cake.
